alert which takes the reader to a news story:

It makes sad reading but it is something we should all confront.
Over on IAR (slight changes for this audience) I wrote:

Similar events have happened before. I followed the link to the

the worst sort. I hope that by far the majority of folk here

The 57-year-old Lindi St Clair, prominent in the UK media as
Miss Whiplash in the 1980s is in a "poorly but stable" condition
after being trapped upside down overnight in her car in a brook
near Risbury village in Herefordshire. She is being treated at
Birmingham's Selly Oak Hospital.

Ms St Clair drove off a road Thursday afternoon and plunged 15ft
(4.5m) down an embankment. She was spotted by a passer by in an
upturned Jeep Wrangler in the water about 22 hours later on
Friday and rescued.

Hello,

This is probably old news to most folk, but it wasn't until
Friday 16th when I was listening to "The Now Show", a weekly
news and topical affairs comedy on BBC Radio 4 that I'd heard of
it at all, so maybe not all media has been covering it, or I
wasn't paying attention.
